The iconic MCG Tours is back
MCG Tours will reopen from 10:00am AEST, Monday June 21, following the Victorian Government’s announcement on the easing of restrictions.
The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC), as managers of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and the Australian Sports Museum, is committed to taking all of the necessary precautions outlined by the Government and health authorities in relation to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Nothing can match the tradition and heritage of the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Explore the inner sanctum of the MCG, walk on the hallowed arena and experience where legends play by taking a guided 60 minute MCG tour!
Gain an insight into Melbourne’s sporting culture while exploring one of the world’s most iconic stadiums, as you hear from our proud MCC volunteers and go behind the scenes of the ‘G.

- The famous MCC Long Room
- MCC Library (founded in 1873)
- MCG Tapestry
- Player change rooms
- Cricketers’ viewing room
- Ron Casey Media Centre
- Portrait of Sir Donald Bradman and Sachin Tendulkar
- A walk on the arena
- Cricket Victoria Bill Lawry Centre
- Ponsford Stand
- City Terrace with view’s of Melbourne’s skyline.
Note: Some areas on the tour route are subject to availability and alteration due to the COVID-19 safety plan.
Tours depart every 30 minutes between 10am and 3pm. Please note, MCG Tours will not be running on AFL match days for the 2021 season. Click here to check our current opening hours.
