Yes! You must pre-purchase your ticket prior to arriving at the MCG’s, Gate 3.

Yes! We invite all our MCC Members back to experience the new Australian Sports Museum for free until February 28, 2021.
Please note, all Members must pre-purchase their tickets ahead of arriving at the MCG’s Gate 3. You can secure your ticket here. We will also require proof of MCC Membership on arrival.
Yes! If you, or an immediate family member appears to be unwell and is showing known symptoms of COVID-19 – including cough, chills or sweats, sore throat and/or shortness of breath – you need to bow out and opt to reschedule for another time.
You will be able to apply for a refund or ticket exchange by emailing contactus@australiansportsmuseum.org.au. Please note, proof of purchase may be required for any refund, exchange or rescheduling.
Yes, Game On will have two permanent staff members stationed to monitor all hygiene and safety practices during your visit.
Each visitor will have a COVID Safety briefing at the beginning of their session, and all activities with shared equipment will be sanitised after every use. Timed tickets are in place to ensure capacity measures are closely monitored and met.
MCG Tours return 7 days a week from March 12, 2021 except for Good Friday, Melbourne Cup and Christmas Day public holidays. In addition to the public holidays, operating hours vary when the MCG holds an event. Click here to check event days.

Yes! The Paddock Café is open to visitors from Fridays November 27 between 10.00am to 3.30pm. It is located inside Gate 3, right next to the Australian Sports Museum.
The Australian Sports Museum will be adhering to the current Victorian Department of Health and Human Services guidelines.
When visiting the Australian Sports Museum we ask you to abide by the Rules of Play.
- Clean hands! Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene by washing your hands regularly and using the hand sanitiser stations and wipes provided throughout the museum.
- Protect the head. All staff and visitors, aged 12 and above, must wear a face mask at all times when indoors.
- Stay at least a couple of cricket bats apart. Please remain at least 1.5m apart from anyone who isn’t in your household. Please follow the floor targets to assist in physical distancing.
Unfortunately, there will not be any cloaking facilities provided, except where approval has been given in advance. If you wish to request approval, please email contactus@australiansportsmuseum.org.au.
Please note that at times, wet weather gear may need to be stored to minimise health and safety risk and water damage to the museum. At this time cloaking options may include umbrella covers, self-storage or patron handling.
Upon arrival and exit of the Australian Sports Museum, patrons will be required to scan a QR code for contact tracing purposes. Enabling us to be informed of your exact movements. This data is captured in accordance with MCG Privacy Policies and will be disposed of after 28 days, as outlined by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services. After this time, all records will be deleted.
The Australian Sports Museum’s highest priority is to ensure the continued health and safety of visitors and staff. We have implemented measures to assist in physical distancing, increased personal hygiene and cleaning in line with the latest Victorian Government and Department of Health and Human Services guidelines.
This means that all communal or shared equipment within the museum will be disinfected and cleaned between every use.
